Tanushree Dutta Controversy: "This Was Ten Years Back I Was A Kid Back Then," Says Shakti Kapoor

Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar's row has taken the Indian film industry by a storm. The actress in her latest revelation Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of misbehaving with her while filming a song for the film. Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor who recently returned for the US spoke about the matter.

 Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar's row has taken the Indian film industry by a storm. The actress who returned to India from the Us after almost ten years recently opened up about the trauma she went through while filming a song for 'Horn Ok Please'. The actress in her latest revelation Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of misbehaving with her while filming a song for the film. The actress also lashed out at choreographer Ganesh Acharya for pressurising her for an intimate sequence in the song. Tanushree also accused produce Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang of harassing her on the sets of the film.

As several eminent Bollywood personalities are speaking up about the issue including Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, Simi Garewal, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Lisa Ray, Pooja Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Anurag Kashyap, Raveena Tandon and Koena Mitra to name a few.

Recently, when Shakti Kapoor was asked about his thoughts on the incident by ANI, he said, "I have just returned from the US yesterday, I had been there for Ganpati Bappa's pooja." Talking about the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row to ANI, Shakti said, "I don't know anything about this case." After asking the reporter about the details of the case, laughing it off, Shakti Kapoor said, "This was ten years back,  I was a kid back then." 

Shakti Kapoor expressed his grief as he spoke about the passing away of Krishna Raj Kapoor to ANI and said, "To be very honest I was shocked when Rishi Kapoor tweeted saying that he was unwell and that he was going to the USA. After that when I woke up in the morning, I received the news of his mother's passing away. My heart goes out to the Kapoor family."

While many from the film industry have come out n support of the actress, many eminent personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Kalki Koechlin chose to maintain silence on the issue and cited the reason for doing so as being unaware of the facts.

Nana Patekar recently broke his silence on the issue and said that he will see what can be done legally. The latest buzz is that Nana Patekar with the help of is lawyer Rajendra Shirodkar has filed a legal notice against the actress of maligning his image.

In an exclusive conversation with Republic TV, wherein he denied the allegations on his client stating that something else happened that day. Shirodkar said, "He has denied it. He said it is all false nothing of that kind happened. There were as many as 60-70 people present on the set at that time so therefore there's no question of me doing anything what she's alleging. There are several witnesses to that effect. There's nothing of that sort happened and something else has happened."

As per Patekar's lawyer, Rajendra Shirodkar, the actor who was last seen in Rajinikanth starrer 'Kaala' will be back from Jaisalmer, where he is shooting for 'Housefull 4' October 6 or October 7. 

Meanwhile, Tanushree Dutta who mustered the courage to talk about the incident after years of solitude released a statement on Monday, October 1, stating that she will be taking a break due to the toll the whole issue has taken on her health.
