The lead actor took to social media to share a brand new poster of the period drama. ‘Kesari’ is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, considered among the most heroic battles in the country’s history, fought between 21 Sikh soldiers against 10,000 Afghans in 1897.

The photograph seems to be from a moment when Akshay’s character Havildar Ishar Singh, with the weapons in his hand, is charging at the Afghans. The Sikhs were a part of the British Indian Regiment, and we see the British flags on top of the buildings as well.

Even without Akshay’s face, the picture explains the tagline of the movie ‘The bravest battle ever fought’ aptly. The picture looks brilliant as the sunrays, its reflection on the sword, dust, colour of the uniform creates a stunning effect.

‘Khiladi Kumar’ stated they were ‘unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought’ and that ‘Glimpses of Kesari’ are set to be out from Tuesday. It’s not yet clear if it’s going to be the teaser, trailer or something unexpected related to the movie that will be released.
