The makers of ‘2.0’ have not had the easiest of times with their ambitious project, touted to be the most expensive venture made in the history of Indian cinema. The team announced multiple release dates, none of which they could adhere to due to the massive post-production, involving extensive VFX work done by graphic artists from all over the world. But the cast and crew of the Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth- starrer have put it all aside and are now finally gearing up for release on 29 November this year.

The teaser of the movie, released in September, had gone viral immediately. And now the producers are all set to unveil the trailer on November 3. The big names associated with the project took to their Twitter profiles to make the announcement. However, all of them, Akshay, director Shankar and Karan Johar, one of the presenters, used the same term, ‘The fifth force is coming’ to announce the trailer release date in their tweets. Till now, there is no clarity of what they are referring to with the term and we feel we'll get better clarity only when the trailer hits social media.

Akshay plays a character based on what is being termed a ‘crow man’ and we saw mobile phones flying away in the air in the teaser. The makers have combined these two main elements for the announcement as we see claws of the 'crow man' holding a mobile phone in hand, which carries the message of the trailer launch being on 3 November. Since it spoke about a 'trailer launch', it is possible that an event where all the stars come together, could surely be expected.

‘2.0’ is the sequel of the movie ‘Robot’ (‘Enthiran’ in Tamil) which featured megastar Rajinikanth in a double role, as a scientist and a robot. The movie had also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The second installment sees Amy Jackson as the lead actress. '2.0' is produced by Lyca Productions and many have tipped the film to break the humongous records set by ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, again a film made from South film industry.
