Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is soaring high on success with back to back super hits. Before one super hit leaves the box office, the actor seems to be back with another one! As 'Gold' ends the box office run by minting over 100 crores worldwide, the first poster of Akshay Kumar's 'Kesari' is doing rounds on social media. The film is based on the series of a battle fought by the Sikh regiment and is essentially revolves around one big battle - The Battle of Saragarhi. The 51-year-old actor took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter and shared the poster on the anniversary of Saragarhi battle that took place on September 12, 1897. In the poster shared by him, one can see a band of men dressed in Army uniforms, The picture has been captioned as "On #SaragarhiDay, here’s the first look of #KESARI - our humble tribute to the martyrs of Saragarhi! “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari...Jo bahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari... Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari.”

Earlier, a picture of the actor wearing a massive turban was doing rounds on social media. Reportedly, speaking about the film, Akshay revealed that he has started shooting for the film and that he is wearing the heaviest turban and beard. He further revealed that his character in 'Kesari' is quite demanding and although it is his favourite look so far, it is quite taxing to fight and sweat in the avatar. The Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari' is one of the three films that is being made on the 'Battle of Saragarhi'. 'The Battle of Saragarhi' is based on the Sikh regimen, and revolves around the number of battles fought by the Sikhs. The film is helmed by Anurag Singh and is slated to release on Holi 2019.
