The Sky is Pink director Shonali Bose introduces Panda and Moose

The Sky is Pink director Shonali Bose gave her Instagram fans an early sneak peek into the movie by introducing her main characters in a fun video. The characters played by Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra and fondly known as Panda and Moose by their on-screen children. While narrating the story of the two characters, Shonali has also revealed a few behind the scene shots from the set. Shonali had a lot of wonderful things to say about the characters and their personality traits.

Who are Panda and Moose?

The character played by Priyanka is named Aditi and her kids fondly refer to her as Moose, while Farhan who plays Niren is Panda. The director and writer of the movie, Shonali Bose in a recent social media post revealed a few insights about the characters. She drew comparisons between Niren and Panda, as well as Aditi and Moose. In the video, Shonali is seen talking about how Moose was an inspirational character to write, as she is very fierce and Aditi is a tigress. Panda, on the other hand, is very gentle and sweet, while Niren is a black belt, who is expert in Kung Fu.

She also stated that the couple has very different personalities, however, as a couple, they have great chemistry and togetherness. In the post, she wrote that Panda and Moose are the modern-day Laila-Majnu. She further wrote that she admires the couple’s ability to remain romantic and face hurdles while still managing to love each other. She calls Aditi and Niren’s love, the romance of the century. She further reveals that their love is what made her paint the sky pink. Actor Farhan Akhtar also shared the making of Panda and Moose with his fans on Instagram.

The Sky is Pink stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf, and Zaira Wasim in key roles. The movie is based on the true story of a teenager who becomes a motivational speaker after she is diagnosed with a fatal disease. The teenager- Aisha, played by Zaira narrates the story of her parents in the movie. The love story of Aditi and Niren spans over a period of almost 25 years. Priyanka and Farhan supposedly looked much at ease in the movie, as they have shared the screen space before in Dil Dhadakne Do. The Sky is Pink is Priyanka’s first movie in Bollywood after her marriage and a hiatus of three years. She has not only acted but has also produced the movie for the very first time. The Sky is Pink is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
