In an exclusive interview to Republic TV on Wednesday with the star cast of the film, 'The Sky is Pink', Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar revealed that the hardest part of playing 'Aisha Chaudhary's' father was staying honest to the character. "I think being honest to the character was the greatest challenge, in terms of the writing as well as Shonali’s direction," he said. He further stated that there is a lot of sensitivity and nuance to be careful about. Along with this, he added that there are a lot of things that people need to feel and experience with the character without you having to vocalize it. "It was important to have a trusted person behind the lens and Shonali was that person," he said.

About 'The Sky is Pink' 

The Sky is Pink ,one of the most awaited films, is all set to release in October 2019. Earlier this Saturday, the movie was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The movie is a love story of a couple spanning 25 years, told through the lens of their spunky teenage daughter, Aisha Chaudhary, who is diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar are seen playing the parents, while Zaira Wasim is playing their daughter. After the screening, the social media was bombarded with tweets appreciating the movie. The movie is directed by Shonali Bose.

Farhan Akhtar's career

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar is an actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and musician. He had made his directorial debut with his movie 'Dil Chahta Hai' in 2001 for which he won a National award. He made his Hollywood debut through writing the soundtrack for 'Bride and Prejudice' in 2004. Akhtar has worked in several award-winning films like 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Rock On', 'Don 2', and so on. Currently, the actor is set for another movie 'Toofan' (2020).
