The cloud of controversy continues to grow denser ever since former Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta opened up about the injustice that happened to her during the shooting of 'Horn Ok Pleassss'. Shedding light on the incident that happened 10 years ago, she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the film. The actress, who was last seen on the big screen in 2010, accused the 'Welcome' star of misbehaving with her during the shooting of a special song for the film. The news created a huge stir in the industry and several Bollywood stars spoke up in favour of the actress. Several celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Twinkle Khanna, Simi Garewal, Lisa Ray, Parineeti Chopra, among others have extended their support to the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' star.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha recently shared her take on Tanushree Dutta's allegations leveled against Nana Patekar. When asked about her stand on the issue at an event in Mumbai, the actress reportedly said that it's better not to take any side before knowing the details of the case.
As per media reports, she said, it is better not to say much about this issue because there will always be two sides to the story. The actress further noted that there were a lot of instances in the past where someone has come up with similar allegations, and after much media hype, it was discovered that the truth is something else.
Meanwhile, the ongoing controversy, took a legal turn after Nana sent a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta denying all allegations. On the other hand, the actress filed a police complaint on October 6 at Oshiwara, registered an FIR under section 354, 354(A), section 34 and section 509 of IPC (Indian Penal Code) against Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, Samee Siddiqui, Rakesh Sarang and MNS party workers.
Moreover, Nana held a press conference on Monday, October 8, outside his residence where he addressed the media for hardly a minute and said his lawyer has asked him to stay tight-lipped in front of media. On continuously being asked about his comments on Tanushree Dutta's allegations against him he said: "I have told this 10 years back also, what was true 10 years back will be true 10 years later also."
