Deepika was flooded with praise for ‘being brave’ to ‘accept such an unconventional role’ and netizens called it a ‘great subject’, ‘legendary movie’ that brings attention and helps to change the mindset of the society. They called it ‘inspiring’, ‘emotional’, ‘incredibly done’, ‘beautiful and powerful', 'heart-stopping amazing’. 

From ‘eagerly awaiting’ to ‘witness this magic’ to nailing the look, the Twitteratti were sure that the ‘Piku’ star would nail the character as well and ‘deliver something beyond phenomenal’. Netizens didn’t stop at that, and calling it a ‘milestone’, were confident that she 'will sweep all the awards.'
