Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal starrer 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' has become a box office sensation ever since its release. The Aditya Dhar directorial not won the hearts of the audiences, but that of critics as well. All naysayers who had misgivings about the films were silenced when the film actually came out. Now, after many celebs from B-town singing praises about the action film, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has now grabbed the attention of this South Indian superstar.
Tamil star Suriya Sivakumar who has also worked in Bollywood film 'Rakta Charitra' became the latest celebrity who was mighty impressed with 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. Taking to Twitter, he called the film 'fabulous' and thanked the team for setting such a high standard for everyone in the film industry. Suriya was also all praise for Vicky Kaushal who shouldered the film very competently.
In reply, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar responded to this praise as they were overwhelmed with their film's reach. The debutant director confessed that he is a fanboy of the Tamil actor and that it is a huge honour for him to be receiving such praise from someone he admires. Yami, who has also done a couple of Tamil and Telugu films, also responded to Suriya with, "Thank you so much Suriya sir ! #TeamURI"
Not only it is heartening to see how well the film is doing, but this conversation also gives some credence to the rumours that the film will be remade in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and the remake rights are being negotiated.
