Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's birthday is right around the corner. In order to mark the occasion, his eldest daughter Pooja Bhatt has quite a surprise planned. A week ahead of the big day, Pooja has already begun a countdown by posting a throwback picture of Mahesh Bhatt from his young days.

The picture is a classic black and white one, and Pooja can be seen with a much younger Mahesh Bhatt. Pooja is the eldest of the Mahesh Bhatt children borne to Mahesh Bhatt with his first wife Kiran. While Alia and Shaheen Bhatt were borne to him through his marriage with actress Soni Razdan.

What's next for Pooja Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt was introduced in Bollywood with the 1990's film 'Daddy' which was directed by father Mahesh Bhatt. After that, she featured in other films such as 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin' and 'Sadak'. She also debuted as a director with the 2003 film 'Paap'. Currently, Pooja is working on the sequel of 'Sadak'.

As for Mahesh Bhatt, the veteran filmmaker is reportedly prepping for his new film, 'The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City' that portrays a number of sensitive issues such as communal harmony, loneliness, and mental health. The star cast of the film includes Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Allisha Khan, and Neha Khan. 'The Dark Side Of Life: Mumbai City' is directed by Tariq Khan and produced by Rajesh Pardasani.
