Arjun Kapoor message on water conservation has a very deep thought, says 'we are fighting a race against time'

Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor recently extended an important message on conservation of water. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday, July 18, and shared a picture of him drinking a glass a water, to raise awareness about the impending crisis.

Drawing reference to 1995 film 'Waterworld', the actor in the post revealed that he, for a long time thought that the Kevin Reynolds's directorial is comprised of a silly notion that the world will go to war for water. But now when the clean sources of water are diminishing, he has realized that the reality is that 'we are fighting a race against time'.

In a well-framed post, the actor wrote, " For many years I thought the film Waterworld was comprised of a silly notion that the world will go to war for water... I mean look around there is so much of it... In Mumbai, we have the sea, the rain, the continuous supply of it in our homes... but the reality is that we are fighting a race against time... clean sources are diminishing…"

Further extending a strong message to conserve water, he wrote, "We as humans love wasting water because we believe it’s non-perishable... this year Chennai faced a water supply crisis, Assam is flooded, our farmers since the last few years have been dealing with famine, the rains are late and inconsistent. So let’s enjoy what we have and maybe just also be aware, be careful, nurture and enjoy what we have with respect and care because god knows what the future has in store... cheers (literally) !!"

Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun is all set to star in Ashutosh Gowariker's magnum opus 'Panipat' alongside Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon. The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat fought between the Maratha empire lead by Sadashiv Rao Bhau and invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali, the King of Afghanistan has been stealing the limelight ever since its conception. It is slated to release on December 6, 2019. Arjun will also feature in 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' alongside Parineeti Chopra.
