Aamir Khan's recent venture 'Thugs of Hindostan' premiered on November 8, 2018, and has been criticized widely by the audience and critics since then. The film received terrible reviews from the viewers as they panned the direction and storyline of the film. The film recently released at the China box office too, but fell flat and was unable to impress the audience.
'Thugs of Hindostan' aired just one month after it was released in India, and minted just Rs 10 crore at the opening day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter and revealed the box office collection.

Besides Aamir Khan, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles. Produced by Yash Raj Films, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' is an adaptation from a Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel titled 'Confessions Of A Thug'. The period drama set in the backdrop of the pre-Independence era tells the story of a group of 'thugs' who rebel against the British rule.
Many fans pointed out the uncanny resemblance the film has to the Hollywood franchise 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. However, despite choppy reviews, the film has been faring well at the box office. It recorded the highest opening day collection in India with Rs 50 crore and entered the 100 crore club on the weekend.
