'Tiger Of The Gully And Of The Silver Screen': Anil Kapoor Gushes Over Ranveer Singh's Performance As He Reviews 'Gully Boy'

Evergreen actor Anil Kapoor recently reviewed Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's 'Gully Boy' on social media and gave a huge thumbs up to the Zoya Akhtar's directorial.

The much-anticipated Bollywood venture 'Gully Boy' made its grand release on Thursday, February 14, 2019, and the rap drama is ruling the theaters ever since. While audience and critics have lauded the film in great words, joining the bandwagon was evergreen star Anil Kapoor who recently reviewed the film on social media after watching it at a special screening. 

Anil Kapoor took to Twitter and penned a note praising the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer. Calling Ranveer as the 'Tiger of the Gully and of the silver screen' Anil said that he is spellbound by his performance in the film. Further praised his 'Dil Dhadakne Do' co-star,  Anil said, Ranveer fits in perfect in every character he plays. Again, talking about Alia Bhatt, the 'Mr. India' actor said she was effortless in her acting and was 'the best'.

Sharing two posters from 'Gully Boy' featuring Ranveer, Alia, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the actor wrote, "Tiger of the Gully & of the silver screen! @RanveerOfficial you have left me speechless! Every character you play you make it your own so beautifully! Ab tera hi tera time hai! Safina, @aliaa08 what do I say you are The Best. So effortless! @SiddhantChturvD you were exceptional!"

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' tells the story of an aspiring rapper who struggles his way up to success. Ranveer Singh aced the role of a street rapper in the venture and was praised widely for her newly-discovered rapping skills. Alia was seen in the role of his love interest in the film.

'Gully Boy' premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday, February 9, and seems like not only Indian fans but the international audience is also impressed by the rap-drama. The initial reviews of the film gave a huge thumbs up to the upcoming venture and praised the actors for their extraordinary performance. While many on social media reviewed the film praising Ranveer for his versatility, a lot of them marked it as his career-best performance. It is co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment productions.
