Following a successful surgery for early-stage carcinoma, Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is back home and was seen celebrating son Hrithik Roshan's birthday on Thursday, January 10. The veteran director, who is currently recovering, was seen posing for a family picture along with his wife, son, daughter, and grandson among others.
As Hrithik turned 45 years old, he took to Twitter and shared a family picture where he was seen celebrating his day with his family and father Rakesh Roshan, who was recently released from the hospital, was also a part of the celebration. The 'Krrish' actor who had spoken about his father's health in the past few days, looked much relieved in the recent picture, where he can be seen standing behind his parents with a bright smile on his face. Hrithik captioned the picture saying, "And he’s up and about Power of love! Thank you all for being with him and helping him power through. Today was a great day."

Earlier this week, Hrithik Roshan revealed that his father, veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, is suffering from early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat, a type of cancer, and is going for a surgery. He shared a picture with his father which seems to be clicked post workout and captioned it saying, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad."

However, on Wednesday, the veteran Bollywood actor was reported to have undergone successful surgery and was reportedly doing fine. He was expected to be back home on Friday or Saturday.
On the professional front, the father-son duo is set to work together on the next instalment of their popular superhero franchise 'Krrish'. On the occasion of Hrithik's birthday last year, the filmmaker had announced that 'Krrish 4' would be hitting the theatres on Christmas 2020. Roshan Sr had produced Hrithik's last film 'Kaabil', which was a success at the box office.
