Remember the Indian pop stars of the 90s? Lucky Ali, Alisha Chinai, Daler Mehendi and many more. Some of their famous songs were our anthems as we grew up. After almost two decades, YouTube and digital Indie revolution gave India's pop and non-film music a way back in full circle and now it is back with a bang. Back then in time, during the golden era of indie-pop music, the divas and studs were seen featuring in the popular songs and all the popular songs were screened on MTV. Here are some of the pop hits that were total game changers in 90s and still it makes us wish that somehow we can revisit the era again.

1: Alisha Chinai:

Alisha Chinai is one of the most famous pop stars of the 90s. She was famous for her 1996 single and album, titled Made in India which has her most famous track Lover Girl. Throughout her successful career, she had a number of huge filmy hits like Kajra Re (Bunty aur Babli), Sona Sona Roop Hai (Bollywood/ Hollywood).

2: Lucky Ali:

Born Maqsood Mehmood Ali, Lucky Ali is best known for his soulful but simple ballad-style singing and melodious voice. Lucky Ali made his debut on the Indian pop songs with the soulful album Sunoh which gained him popularity as a pop singer. The album won many of the top awards in Indian music, which includes the Best Pop Male Vocalist at the 1996 Screen Awards and the Channel V Viewers Choice Award in 1997.

3: Daler Mehndi:

Daler Mehndi's debut album was Bolo Ta Ra Ra that sold over 20 million copies. The album gained popularity for Daler as a pop star The album also won him the Channel V's Best Indian Male Pop Artist Award. After a year, his second album under Magnasound, Dardi Rab Rab, was launched. This album surpassed the sales of Bolo Ta Ra Ra

4: Baba Sehgal:

Harjit Singh Sehgal, popularly known as Baba Sehgal, has carved a niche for himself on the Indian pop culture. The singer is known for his quirky Lyrics, sense of humour and earthy rhythms and all these bought him to the limelight. Baba Sehgal has a huge fan following soon after his debut album release. Baba Sehgal got popularity for his album Thanda Thanda Pani, this included his numerous hit tracks like Thanda Thanda Pani, Chor and Dil Dhadke.

5: Aryans:

Some remember their songs for cute chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor in the video. Though it was Shahid's entry into the big screen more of people loved the trio: Aryans. Soulful music and soft vocals brought this trio immense popularity. Their song Aankhon me is still one of the most love songs by many.
