In a complaint filed by the police at North Avenue, Delhi, Sirsa said that they have received a number of complaints from the Sikh Sangat for hurting the sentiments of Sikhs in the trailer of the film 'ZERO' directed by Aanand L Rai. In the complaint, he mentioned that King Khan wears 'Gatra Kirpan" (Article of Sikh Faith) in the trailer which has created an outrage among Sikh community worldwide. He further added that as per the Sikh customs only Amritdhari Sikh person can wear Gatra Kirpan. He went on to urge the police to lodge FIR against the film director Aanand L Rai and Shah Rukh Khan and that the trailer where SRK is seen wearing 'Gatra Kirpan' should be stopped without any further delay.

Sirsa also shared that Sikhs cannot tolerate that any movie star or the film itself shows the Sikh tenants or articles of faith in a bad light. He said that in this trailer, the film star not only appears wearing the 'Kirpan' but also the poster shows the star in a lighter mood thereby further showing the Sikh article of faith in a  lighter vein. He said that Sikhs cannot tolerate such mischievous acts either in films or in real life.  Adding that Sikh Guru Sahiban has given enough power and strength to the Sikhs to fight with such situations if they arise in their life.
