According to reports, the Maharashtra State Women's Commission is deliberating on the decision to take action against the 'Saathiya' star.

Vivek had shared a meme that termed as ‘opinion poll, exit poll and result’ Aishwarya’s photographs with Salman Khan, Vivek and Abhishek Bachchan respectively.

The actor received severe backlash for sharing the post as actress Sonam Kapoor and badminton player Jwala Gutta slammed him in no mild terms.

Sharad Pawar's NCP has called for the arrest of the Bollywood actor.

NCP leader Nawab Mallik accused the 'BJP supporter' of crossing lines and disrespecting a Padma Shri award-winning actress.

He said, "The supporters of the BJP from Bollywood are crossing lines. The way that Vivek Oberoi tweeted about the exit polls, for a woman who has been awarded the Padma Shree, disrespecting her is not okay."

"If this is how they keep crossing lines, where are the Women Commission of Maharashtra and the country. If Bollywood actors keep on with this kind of apathy and disrespect there will be public outrage. If he does not apologise, he will have to face the repercussions," he added.

He further stated that the Women Commission must file a case against the actor, furthermore asked the government to acknowledge this incident.

He said, "We demand that Women Commission should file a case, the Police department should file a case for the insult of the lady who won Padmashree. It will not be right if this is not investigated. If this keeps going on, actors keep disrespecting then I feel citizens would come ahead to demand justice, we want the government to acknowledge this and file a case and arrest Vivek Oberoi."
