Ujda Chaman makers to take legal action:

After the change of release date, the makers of the Singh starrer pitched the move as 'unethical' and 'wrong'. And now reportedly, the Ujda Chaman makers are discussing the content duplication with their legal team and will take action within a few days. "This is a clear case of copyright violation. I can understand two films around a bald character releasing within a short span of time, but in this case, there are striking similarities with my film and the original whose rights are with me.", they said.

About Bala:

The trailer of Bala was unveiled on Thursday and it promises another laugh riot. Ayushmann plays a balding man and also joins hands once again with his lead actresses of two of his well-known films, Vicky Donor and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. His character was named ‘Bala’ for his flowy hair, but then fate had different plans for him. Be it being mocked by people, being dumped by a girlfriend or ‘scaring’ people, he faces it all. He tries all possible means to resolve it, including applying buffalo’s dung, but nothing works. After some hilarious situations over his receding hairline, he finally gets a wig. His new thick crop helps him in wooing Yami Gautam and marrying her. But that is only a temporary solution and he decides to have a hair transplant.

About Ujda Chaman:

The trailer of Ujda Chaman was released on September 30, 2019. The trailer suggests that the movie is a parody of bald men. It seems like the movie will be dealing with the issues that young, bald men face.

Clash of content?

While Ujda Chaman is seen to be a comedy-parody, Bala appears to be a satirical black comedy directed by Amar Kaushik. Besides Ayushmann, Bala also casts Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, Seema Pahwa, and Manoj Pahwa in lead roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, Bala will hit the theatres on November 7, a day before Ujda Chaman. Ujda Chaman is going to release on November 8, 2019.
