Tanushree Dutta's allegations against Nana Patekar for misconduct has started a new chapter in the history of Bollywood. A similar movement that struck Hollywood has now found its way to the Hindi film industry. With Tanushree being the igniting force behind this much-needed movement, several others have now begun sharing their ordeal.  The Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row has opened up new cases, recently Bollywood personalities like Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, and Rajat Kapoor have been accused of sexual harassment.  Recently, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi who earlier spoke in support of Tanushree Dutta, stated that she is in full support of the #MeToo movement.

She stated that,

"I am happy that the movement has begun, but I hope it doesn't get out of control in the sense that we target only those people who have offended us in some way, but, on the whole, I think women are responsible. And the anger of sexual molestation never goes away, never. You will always remember the person who did it, which is why we have taken steps, we have written to the law ministry that the complaints should be without any time limit. Please remember that you can now, as we have interpreted it, complain 10 years later, 15 years later, it doesn't matter how much later. The point is if you're going to complain, then the avenue is still open."
