Urban Naxal Case: 'Freedom Is Lost In Units,' Says Author Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna reacts on the ongoing Urban Naxal case

With the whole nation talking about the Urban Naxal case, celebrities have also come forward expressing their views. After Swara Bhasker, actor-author Twinkle Khanna has also expressed her opinion on the case. Tweeting about the matter the actress wrote, "Freedom is not lost all at once, it is lost in units of one, one at a time, one activist, one lawyer, one writer till finally, it’s each one of us.."

Twinkle Khanna is a former Bollywood actress who has appeared in 13 films and has authored three books- 'Mrs Funnybones', 'The Legends Of Lakshmi Prasad' and.'Pyjamas Are Forgiving'. She also writes a column for a daily newspaper and is known for her carefree attitude. Her thoughts are unfiltered and she speaks her heart out. She is also the co-founder the film production company Grazing Goat Pictures and has produced six films under the banner.  On Women's Entrepreneurship Day, the author-producer was invited to be a panellist at the United Nations, New York. 

On Tuesday, August 28, the Pune Police carried out raids at the residence of people who were suspected to have Maoists links. The raids were in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence. Following the raid, activists  Varavara Rao, Vernon Gonsalves, Sudha Bharadwaj and Arun Ferreira, who were alleged as Maoists sympathizers were detained, while Gautam Navlakha had been put under house arrest after Delhi High Court stayed his detention.

Top police sources have told Republic TV that all those detained “are members of the core committee group of urban Naxals and that they were involved in almost all the Naxal activities happened in the recent times”. The above said sources also told Republic Tv that Rona Wilson and the others who were accused in the month of June, used to report to these people who have been detained.
