Ever since the trailer of 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' came out, the anticipation for the Vicky Kaushal starrer has been sky high. The actor plays the role of an India army major Vihaan Shergill, Yami Gautam plays an intelligence officer and Paresh Rawal plays a senior level official with political standing.  But what is really interesting is the fact that he looks really similar to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is still in office. When Republic TV sat down with the Uri team to discuss the film, the question of Paresh Rawal'suncanny resemblance with Mr Doval cropped up. Here's what the veteran actor had to say on the matter.

He agreed that the physicality looks similar to the NSA, but that it is not really inspired by him. Paresh Rawal also spoke at length about the film's treatment, especially the espionage aspects. Speaking about the same, he said, "In terms of preparation, if you will see the tone of the meeting (in the film), is not at all dramatic. Normally how they speak, that's how it has been shown. These are the people who stay in the background (shadows)."

Referring once again to Mr Doval, the veteran actor added that how a high-level intelligence officer behaves is not at all like what is shown in the movies. He continued, " 'Spy' like Doval Saab (Ajit Doval) are never in your face. Also, the planning has been meticulous for this operation. So, you will understand that it has been treated at the level of a thriller. The jingoism which you see in normal films, the Pakistan bashing isn't there. It will seem like all sorted, intelligent people are sitting at the table and there is no muscle."

Well, it seems the makers of Uri have tried their best to keep the film as grounded as possible. It will be really interesting to see how the action sequences are treated in regards to the rest of the film. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is all set to release on January 11, 2019.
