'Uri: The Surgical Strike' Trailer Released, Showcasing "A Moment That Paved A Path To A New, Stronger India"

The makers of much anticipated upcoming venture 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' have released the first official trailer for the film. 

RSVP media took to Twitter and shared the video saying, "Aaj tak hamari सहनशीलता ko hamari कमज़ोरी samjha jaata tha, magar ab nahi. Ye naya हिंदुस्तान hai, ye हिंदुस्तान ghar mein घुसेगा bhi aur मारेगा bhi!! #URITrailer out now! (Till today our tolerance used to be considered our weakness, but not anymore. This is new India. This India will enter the house and attack too)

The trailer was re-tweeted by lead actor Vicky Kaushal and producer Ronnie Screwvala. The film which is slated for 2019 release pays tribute to the Indian army and to a new India. It is based on the September 2016 attack by Pakistani terrorists on the Indian Army brigade HQ in Uri, J&K and subsequent Surgical Strike by Indian security forces on terror launchpads in Pakistan. The visuals of the same were first broadcasted on Republic TV.

The two and a half minute action-packed video features Vicky Kaushal as an Indian soldier who leads the army for the mission. Beside Vicky, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina in the lead. It is written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies.

Previously, the makers have announced the release of the trailer on Tuesday, December 4. Actor Vicky Kaushal took to Twitter and confirmed the news with a brand new poster featured him coming down from a helicopter donning the uniform of the Indian army. He captioned the post saying, "Yeh naya Hindustan hai! #URItrailer out now!  @yamigautam @SirPareshRawal @AdityaDharFilms @RonnieScrewvala @RSVPMovies"

The poster had a tagline that read, "Yeh naya Hindustan hai, ye ghar mai ghusega bhi aur marega bhi"
