Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ is firing on all cylinders at the box office and has now crossed the Rs 50-crore mark in just five days.
On day 5, the war drama earned almost double digits again, with collections of Rs 9.57 crore, as reported by Taran Adarsh. The trade analyst while calling it the ‘Uri wave’ wrote that the movie is ‘winning praise’ and ‘amassing massive numbers at BO... East. West. North. South.’
The figures are fantastic for a Tuesday considering the collections usually keep falling considerably as each weekday progresses until the second weekend. The total now stands at Rs 55.81 crore, and the war drama seems well and truly on course to storm its way into the Rs 100-crore club soon.
‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ had a brilliant first weekend, where it collected above Rs 35 crore and almost doubled its figures from Friday to Sunday (Rs 8.20 cr to 15.10 cr). The crucial Monday test was passed with flying colours as well as the action film minted more than the opening day collections, Rs 10.51 crore.
'Uri: The Surgical Strike' is directed by Aditya Dhar and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina, among others.
