Veteran actor Dilip Kumar had previously been hospitalised for recurrent pneumonia. The 96-year-old, who has been in news for his health, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital on October 5 after he complained of uneasiness and breathlessness due to chest pain. Recently, the 'Devdas' actor's spokesperson took to his Twitter account on October 11 and tweeted "Allah ka shukr hai @TheDilipKumar Saab hospital se discharge hogaye Aur abhi ghar pohoch gaye hain. Speaking exclusively to Republic TV, Dilip Kumar's wife and celebrated veteran actress Saira Banu eagerly hopes for his speedy recovery. When asked when is the actor's discharge expected, she said, "In Shaa Allah, depends on the doctors. Hopefully, if sir is well, In Shaa Allah, we want to be home for our wedding anniversary."
