Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of uneasiness due to a chest infection. The development was posted on his official Twitter handle. The tweet said that he was recuperating from it.
However, as per report to Republic TV, it is just a routine check-up and is nothing serious.
In August 2017, the 95-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital due to dehydration and fever. Back then it was reported there were discrepancies in the function of his kidney and was kept under observation for a few days before getting discharged. In the past few years, the actor has been admitted to the hospital several times, owing to age-related illness. In fact, in 2016 the actor was admitted to the hospital twice. He even celebrated his birthday in the hospital on December 11, 2016.
Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar made his debut in the year 1944 with the film 'Jwar Bhata' opposite Saira Banu. He later married to his co-star in 1966 and has been married to her ever since. He is popularly known for his roles in films like, 'Arzoo', 'Footpath', 'Devdas', Mughal-e-Azam, 'Naya Daur', 'Kohinoor ', 'Ganga Jamuna' and 'Dharm Adhikari'. He was last seen in 1998 in the film 'Qilla' alongside Rekha, Mamta Kulkarni and Mukul Dev. Dilip Kumar was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
