Vicky Kaushal condemns the dastardly Pulwama terror attack, extends condolences to the families of martyred soldiers

India lost many brave soldiers in a deadly terror attack on Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon. Following the same, actor Vicky Kaushal reacted to the dastardly Pulwama terror attack on CRPF and condemned the cowardly move of the terrorists.

India lost many brave soldiers in a deadly terror attack on Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon. As per PTI, 40 CRPF Jawans were martyred and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade. As per CRPF sources, the 54 Battalion of CRPF was attacked with an IED blast. The attack was targeted at a CRPF convey of nearly 70 vehicles that were heading from Jammu back to Srinagar.

Terrorists attacked a vehicle from the convoy when it was passing through the Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. There was 35 personnel aboard the vehicle that was attacked and 100 kg of explosive was used in IED blast, CRPF sources informed. 

Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in a text message to Kashmiri News Agency GNS.

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal who rose to the heights of fame with his performance in his latest venture 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' reacted to the dastardly Pulwama terror attack on CRPF and condemned the cowardly move of the terrorists. He took to Twitter and penned a note expressing 'shock' over the incident. He also extended condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers and prayers for the injured.

In a post, he wrote, "Deeply saddened and shocked to hear the news of the terror attack in #Pulwama . My heart goes out to the families of the brave CRPF soldiers we lost today and praying for the speedy recovery of those injured."

Several other Bollywood celebrities including Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher, and Preity Zinta , among others also condemned the attack. They took to social media to convey their condolences to the families of our martyred solderers and demanded justice for them suggesting the need to hit back at the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and assured that people behind the attack will be punished. In fact, the attack was strongly condemned across the globe. The White House has asked Pakistan to immediately end being a "support" and "safe haven" to all terror groups as it condemned the Pulwama terrorist attack.

The film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' that released on January 11, 2019, is based on the September 2016 attack by Pakistani terrorists on the Indian Army brigade HQ in Uri, J&K and subsequent Surgical Strike by Indian security forces on terror launchpads in Pakistan. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina in the lead.

It featured Vicky as an Indian soldier who leads the army for the mission. The film has received great reviews from the audience and critics as they have praised the film for its patriotic zeal. It is written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies.
