Fueling speculations of 'Dostana 2', Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal on Thursday shared a series of pictures with his 'Manmarziyaan' co-star Abhishek Bachchan in which he is seen embracing the 'Dostana' star. The photographs clicked by what appears to be a busy road shows both the actors holding hands and hugging each other. Identifying the moment as a Public Display of Affection(PDA) Vicky shared the pictures on Instagram and captioned the post saying, "Pda? Yeah, sure!"
Here's the post:
The actors, who are known for carrying a similar bearded look are seen dressed up in blazers and goggles for the photographs. While Abhishek is suited in slate blazer-pants set, Vicky is seen sporting in a sky-blue outfit.
Vicky's post has re-initiated the speculations for the making of the sequel of the 2008 film 'Dostana' where Kaushal will allegedly replace John Abraham. Ever since the release of ‘Dostana’, fans have been expecting the second instalment of this blockbuster hit. The Tarun Mansukhani's directorial starred Priyanka Chopra, Bobby Deol, John Abraham, and Abhishek Bachchan was one of the rare Bollywood films that focused on gay relationships.
The rumours of the making of the second instalment of 'Dostana' rolled out after Vicky posted a picture on Instagram with Abhishek on August 21, where the actors were seen funnily embracing each other. The 'Raazi' star captioned the post saying, "Dostana ✌🏽??? 🤣 @bachchan #Manmarziyaan #14thSept 📷: @khamkhaphotoartist"
However, Karan Johar, the current owner of Dharma Production, has refused such claims. The filmmaker took to Twitter and announced that there are no such plans for the second instalment of the movie. “Hello!!! All news circulating about DOSTANA 2 is untrue!!! Lots of speculation which is entirely baseless!!!" he wrote in his post.
Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan's latest film 'Manmarziyaan' is slated to release on September 14, 2018. The romantic comedy-drama scripted by Kanika Dhillon is a love story set in the backdrop of Punjab. The film helmed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap features Taapsee Pannu as the female lead. The film jointly produced by Phantom Films and Aanand L. Rai's Colour Yellow Productions marked its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2018.
