The story is about a 2-year-old Pihu, who one day early in the morning tries to wake up her unresponsive mother. The toddler gives up on waking her mother and sets out to explore the spacious apartment. The apartment is still messy from the birthday party the previous night. The hungry child goes up and down the stairs on the lookout for food. She raids the refrigerator, the microwave, the stove, burning her toast in the process. She is periodically distracted from her chores by nervous phone calls from her father who is frantically trying to reach his wife, while he is out of town. The suspense ratchets up as we helplessly see the adorable mischievous child exploring an overflowing sink, forgetting to turn off the flame on the stove, risking a fall and an unresponsive mother. The audience is bound to laugh, give out a yell and be on the edge of the seat as the toddler carries on with her adventure.
The film stars Myra Vishwakarma and Prerna Sharma. The film is written by Vinod Kapri and releases in Indian theatres on September 28. The film has been well appreciated at the international film festivals. 'Pihu' has received awards at Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2017 and in 2016 the film received an award at the Vancouver International Film Festival
