The power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh headed to London on Wednesday night to unveil the wax statue of the 'Padmaavat' actress at Madame Tussauds London.

Last year when the couple tied the knot in Italy, Madame Tussauds tweeted saying: "Congrats @deepikapadukone ! 😍 We couldn't be more excited for you and can't wait for your figure reveal next year! #DeepikaWedsRanveer"

The couple was joined by 'Kalank' star Varun Dhawan on the flight, who is visiting London to complete the shoot of his next film 'Street Dancer', directed by Remo D'souza.

In a viral video, Varun is seen engaging in a fun banter with the couple where he calls them his 'adopted parents'. And Deepika supports him and says, "We made sure he had his dinner, he slept well, he had his breakfast...."

Talking about being 'adopted', a few days back Varun Dhawan couldn't attend Akash Ambani's reception because of work commitments, and Varun's parents David and Laali were accompanied by his girlfriend Natasha Dalal.

The 31-year-old took to his Instagram stories on Sunday to share a snap of the trio looking their stylish best and wrote, “My parents gave up on me and adopted another.” 

On the work front, Varun will next be seen in Abhishek Varman's 'Kalank' where he plays the role of Zafar. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha.

Meanwhile, Ranveer has started training for Kabir Khan’s next film titled '‘83'. The 'Gully Boy' actor is being trained under the guidance of Kapil Dev and Balwinder Singh Sandhu. He will play Kapil Dev in the film and the story revolves around India’s first cricket World Cup win in 1983. Deepika Padukone, on the other side, is working on Meghna Gulzar’s 'Chhapaak' and will play the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
