Two Bollywood films, 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic and 'India's Most Wanted' are competing with each other for their share of box office numbers. While 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic is a clear winner as it marginally raced ahead Arjun Kapoor's mystery thriller.
As per Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on the first day, the Arjun Kapoor starrer recorded 'low numbers', and minted a total of Rs 2 crores. On the other hand, 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic although had a 'lukewarm' start in the morning, it picked up in the evening and witnessed better occupancy thus minting ERs 2.88 crores.
On the second day, 'India's Most Wanted', minted a total of Rs 5.13 crores, while 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic witnessed an 'upward trend' thus making a total of Rs 6.64 crores.
The biopic depicts the journey of PM Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as a Chief Minister and finally his landmark election as the Prime Minister of the country. Oberoi is essaying the role of Modi.
'India's Most Wanted' on the other hand, is a film based on true events and is about five men who saved the lives of billions of people by hunting down a terrorist, which, the makers have named 'India's Osama'.
