Bollywood singer Udit Narayan's son Aditya Narayan, who is also known as a popular anchor for singing reality shows on Indian television was caught on camera, abusing and threatening Indigo staff at the Raipur Airport. The video accessed exclusively by Republic TV shows the 30-year-old threatening an airline employee. He can be seen having got into a fracas with the airline's staff at the Raipur Airport and is seen hurling abuse at them, reportedly after he was asked to pay an excess baggage charge of Rs 13,000 for excess baggage, according to IndiGo. The New Delhi-headquartered airline permits passengers to carry 15 kg check-in baggage free of cost, plus a maximum of seven kg per person as cabin luggage. In the video, Aditya abuses and threatens to strip the airport staff.

He says, ‘I know everybody was standing there. You are making this personal buddy. There are ten people who know that I started abusing you when you said do not abuse. I can say whatever I want to say.’

He goes on to threaten,

‘I will see you in Bombay. At some point or the other, we will reach Mumbai and then we shall see.”

Following the incident, Indigo Airlines said in a statement, "Mr.Aditya Narayan was travelling on with a group of 5  people carrying excess baggage. The amount to be paid for the carriage of excess baggage came to 13000 INR. He refused to pay this amount to the  female check-in staff member and said that he will not pay more than 10000 INR for the excess baggage and also used unparliamentary language with the female staff member."

Sudhakar Reddy, Airline Passengers Association said,  "Every passenger is equal under the new fly list. Now since the regulation has become a law, Indigo should take action."

On speaking to Republic TV, Bollywood singer Ila Arun said, “First and foremost, no one should misbehave anyone. I know Aditya on a personal level, he is a respectful and a humble guy. I do not approve of this kind of behavior, but why he did it is a very big question.”

Earlier in June, IndiGo had barred TDP MP Diwakar Reddy from flying with it after he allegedly entered into a verbal spat with the ground staff and threw a printer kept at the airline's counter.
