WATCH | A small mark, a big meaning: Tahira Kashyap's 'ode to unlimited human potential' on Cancer Survivor Day is inspiring

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana's wife filmmaker Tahira Kashyap Khurrana has been hitting headlines ever since she shared her ordeal of battling with breast cancer. Her courage and positive approach to deal with the deadly disease has been an inspiration to many.

Now, on 'Cancer Survivor Day', the diva sent out another powerful message for all the brave souls battling cancer. She shared a video on Instagram where she boldly called her 'scar', a birthmark. The very intense setting of the clip shows Tahira laying on a hospital bed surrounded by doctors. Her confident self speaks up as she starts by saying, "A small mark, a big meaning." 

Sharing the video on Instagram, Tahira wrote, "I hope this video is taken in the right spirit. Not each of us has same cancer, or the same stage, or even the same circumstances."

"But what is same within each of us, is the burning fire to survive, the hope to cheat any ultimatum was given to us, the invincible human spirit which gives us the courage to endure and the will to revive, the resilience of a warrior... and all this sums up to the unlimited human potential that we all possess," she added. 

Being a cancer survivor herself, Tahira in her post saluted all the warriors and wrote, "I salute people who are enduring, they for me are the warriors. I salute those who have crossed the bridge, they for me are the survivors, I salute those who succumbed, they for me are the bravest soldiers. I salute the friends and families of those inflicted with the disease, they for me are the precious support system," she further stated.

"I bow my head to respect the unpredictability of life and I raise my head with determination to deal with it too. In all, I want to keep a joyous spirit and wish the same for you," the valiant lady concluded.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana who has been the constant companion to his wife also came out to cheer for his 'warrior princess'. Sharing the clip on Twitter, the 'Article 15' actor wrote, "Proud of you my warrior princess."

Tahira Kashyap has been praised by thousands of people including several celebrities on social media for her initiative to fight Cancer and raise awareness about the same. Her positive manner of narrating her diagnosis and treatment has been serving as a huge inspiration to the patients' battling the disease. Tahira who lost hair while undergoing chemotherapy said that with hair she lost my insecurity, stupid notion of beauty and complexes along with it.
