Two among the biggest superstars of the country, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, have had an on-off equation over their journey in the industry of almost three decades. However, of late, the duo has been bonding big time, praising each other’s films last year, and the latter even suggesting SRK does the biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma that the ‘Perfectionist’ was earlier set to do. But their friendship goes back a long way and many years ago, the 'Chak De! India' star was insistent Aamir uses a laptop and got one for him. Much like their contrasting personalities,  Shah Rukh is tech-savvy and Aamir isn’t and that's the reason the latter didn’t use it for five years and it refused to start after that.

A video of Aamir sharing the joke about how he was far removed from technology at an event has surfaced. Aamir says, "Shah Rukh and I in '96 were doing a show together in the US and UK. And Shah Rukh is very into technology, even at that time, he was up-to-date.

"So that time a new computer had come in the market, of Toshiba. He told me, "I’m getting one", latest computer, with all features like RAM etc, don’t know what he was saying. He said, ‘I think you should also take this computer.'

"I had never used a computer in my life. I said, ‘Why would I need a computer?’ He said, “You’re not getting it, you install office in it and all that like phone numbers'. I told, 'I have the phone number.' He tried to convince me a lot. So then I said, "Whatever you’re buying you’ll buy the best, buy it for me. So poor chap, he went and he bought two computers, laptops, it was new at that time, he got one for himself and one for me and he came back to India.

"That laptop I did not open even one day. I’m not joking. Five years later, my new manager asked, ‘Sir, I’ve always seen your laptop just lying there, can I use it?’ I said, ‘Yeah, of course, please use it.’ He opened it and it just didn’t start. I think it had got rusted just lying there."

"So that is my relation with technology. In my house, if I have to watch a film on Netflix or whatever, I have to tell someone, my kids or Susanna, my manager. Someone has to put it on for me. Because that machine comes to know that Aamir has come, and it just doesn’t start. Machines don’t like me.”
