The latest episode of 'Koffee With Karan' saw the very talented Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar grace the 'Koffee' couch. In this episode, the host Karan Johar seemed to have a lot of fun with his guests, in particular with the 'Stree' actor. During the show, the duo had an epic exchange that will leave you howling with laughter.
Karan who is known for mockingly showing off his superior fashion sense told Rajkummar that the clothes he is wearing are more expensive than the actor's upbringing. Pointing towards his shoes he says, "This is the cost of your school.", then pointing to his blue jacket he says, "This is the cost of your EMI."
Well, Rajkummar had the perfect reply in store for him as he quickly retorted with, "And this is the cost of Income Tax department." as he raised his palm. Of course, this comeback effectively silenced the host as Bhumi laughed at the hilarious interaction.
Not only that but during a Q and A session, KJo asked him that if he had to play a gay character on screen, who would he work with. To this Raj simply asked if Karan had acted in another film after 'Bombay Velvet', indicating that he would want to work with him. Overall, the episode was bundles of fun as it always has been.
Unfortunately, the show and the filmmaker has been facing some heat after an episode with cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul created a massive controversy. Pandya stirred up the hornet's nest as he made some shocking misogynistic comments, which landed him and his teammate in deep trouble.
Coming back to the talented Rajkummar, he has a film up for release later in the week which is 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', which also stars Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Juhi Chawla. Exploring the concept of a girl discovering her sexual orientation in a small town, the film is directed by Shelly Chopra.
