At a recent event where Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray are also present, Deepika was asked if she’d like to enter politics. She replied, “Honestly, I don’t know much about politics. But if I get the opportunity, I would like to be the Minister for Swachh Bharat. Cleanliness is a big OCD for me. I am very passionate about cleaning.”

The ‘Padmaavat’ star also narrated a hilarious anecdote when she was invited for parties just for cleaning.

“When I was young and we’d go for sleepovers, I realised after a long time that my friends’ friends would actually invite me because I’d go to their homes and clean their cupboards and bedrooms. I used to feel I am very popular, 'everyone keeps inviting me.' Then I realised, it is actually my OCD and that is why all my friends would call me over."

Deepika added, “I feel a lot of satisfaction. In fact, when I get free time from shooting, when I don’t have any work at home, I can’t sit still, I have to keep cleaning something. I think that is something I would like to do with a lot of passion.”
