  • The actor during a recent media interaction ahead of the event said that as citizens of the country, it is time for them to also make our contribution to the country.

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher who will be attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi on Thursday, May 30, said that he is fortunate to be a part of the historic event.

The actor who was seen campaigning for wife, BJP winning candidate from Chandigarh, Kirron Kher, during a recent media interaction said, "It feels good to be a part of a historic event. Development was the focus for this Lok Sabha elections. As citizens of the country, it is time for us to also make our contribution to the country."

After being re-elected as the Prime Minister of India in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi will be taking the oath for the same on Thursday at 7 in the evening. The Members of Parliament who will be the part of Modi's cabinet will also be swearing-in along with the Prime Minister. Several Bollywood stars including Anil Kapoor, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, and others are expected to attend the event.

Earlier on the day, Anupam Kher was seen leaving for the national capital with friend and industry-mate Anil Kapoor. The two were seen getting inside the car after they landed in Delhi.

The highest ever 8,000 guests, including VVIPs, will be attending the oath-taking ceremony of PM Modi and his council of Ministers that will be held at the forecourt — the stately path between the main gates and the main building in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
