Karan Johar's controversial show 'Koffee with Karan' Season 6 has become the platform for quite a few revelations. In the last episode, Johar revealed his real name.

Karan Johar's controversial show 'Koffee with Karan' Season 6 has become the platform for quite a few revelations. The last episode of 'Koffee' saw Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana on the couch. During the fun episode, Karan Johar revealed that he had a different name when he was born. Incidentally, he reveals that he was named Rahul Kumar Johar at birth and that was his official name for the first 12 days of his life.

The filmmaker also revealed that his mother Hiroo Johar had a dream and that is what made her change his name from Rahul Kumar to just Karan. "When I was born my name was Rahul. I was Rahul Kumar Johar for 12 days. On my janam patri, it still says Rahul Kumar Johar.''

Currently, KJo is basking in the success of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0', which he had distributed all across the country. Other than this, he also launched a new digital arm of Dharma Productions called Dharmatic Entertainment which will now release fictional and non-fictional content on the digital platform.

 The director has a number of films in the pipeline for release. Along with that, he will also be producing' Kesari',  'Kalank', 'Student of the Year 2' and 'Brahmastra' which are slated for a 2019 release.

Earlier, this year, the producer announced a war epic film 'Takht'. The multi starer venture will feature Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. This would be the first time that Karan Johar will be trying his hand at directing an epic. The film is anticipated to hit the theatres in 2020.
