While the actress told the guests, "This is my husband, Nick Jonas”, the latter responded by calling her, “My beautiful wife.”

“It means so much to us that all of you came tonight and this has been an extremely special chapter in my life. And I wanted my husband to meet all the people who have contributed to it.

"Thank you so much for being here, friends of my parents, my mom hosting who is hosting this wonderful evening and my dad, who I know, is here. Thank you so much for coming and giving your blessings and I hope you have a wonderful time tonight. And this is my husband, Nick Jonas,” Peecee said excitedly.

Nick’s turn was interesting as he revealed he took his wife’s mother, Madhu Chopra, who he called by her first name, to lunch to take permission to marry Priyanka.

He quipped, “This is my first show in India” and added, “It wasn’t too far from here that I took Madhu out to lunch to ask her if I could marry her daughter. To be here with all of you and who helped shape who she's become, means the world to me. And all of you embracing me with such open arms is unbelievable. Tonight is all about celebrating and about spending some time together. My first introduction to a lot of you. And my beautiful wife. I couldn’t be happier to be with you to share all these memories.”
