If the teaser of the Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' wasn't enough, the makers have released another BTS video which is exceptionally brilliant. '2.0' which is assumed to be the most expensive Indian movie is garnering headlines for its teaser which has some phenomenal VFX and editing. Experts from all over the world were put into a team for the film, and the video ends with the disclaimer "effort unlimited" which explains the heavy usage of VFX that went into the making of the movie.
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's '2.0' is the outcome of 25 VFX studios worldwide, 2150 VFX shots, 1000 complex VFX shots, 1000 VFX artists, 10 concept artists 25 3D designers, 500 craftsmen, 3,000 technicians and more. The video also has fascinating sights from Akshay and Rajinikanth's preparation sessions for their respective looks. The video also incorporates details about their costumes and the pre-visualization shots. Check out the video below.
For the uninitiated, '2.0' is the sequel to the 2010 film Enthiran (Robot), it is directed by Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah. In the movie, the audience for the very first time will witness Rajinikanth against Akshay Kumar. Apart from these two actors, the movie also stars Amy Jackson in the lead role. The movie is also the first ever Indian movie to be shot on 3D. The sci-fi drama will see Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, and the film is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi respectively. The legendary music maestro A.R. Rahman has composed music for the film as seen in the making video.
Speaking of the film, this Rajnikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer was supposed to release a year and a half back, but that never happened as one of the VFX teams required more time to deliver their services. The movie's director Shankar had reportedly revealed that one of the VFX companies had asked for another year to complete their work and later they shifted to a complete new VFX company as the previous company was unable to fulfill the deadline.
The film will hit the theaters on 29 November 2018.
