Rakhi Sawant recently reacted to Tanushree Dutta's defamation lawsuit filed against her. She took to Instagram to upload a series of video containing her response to the case. While she spoke a lot about Tanushree Dutta and called her allegations a publicity stunt, she also spoke about the ongoing #MeToo movement.
While she urged people to not blindly trust every woman sharing her me too story and to also hear the men's side of the story, she took a subtle dig at Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Rakhi stated,
''There should be a #MenToo movement, why are the people just taking one side and not listening to the men's side of the story. Men like Shekhar Suman's son (Adhyayan Suman) and Hrithik Roshan have been tortured, so why are people not listening to the men? Why are you only listening to the women’s side of the story? I want that a #HeToo or #MenToo movement also to take place. I Rakhi Sawant don’t support men or women, I support the truth.''
While everyone knows that Kangana Ranaut was in a relationship with the two men mentioned above and Rakhi took a subtle dig at the actress and blamed her for torturing them.
She further spoke about the defamation lawsuit and the ongoing #MeToo movement and said,
''She has filed a Defamation case against me for 10 crores I will file one for 50 crores. I will file a 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree for calling me a lower class girl. The original purpose of #MeToo is not being fulfilled. It is not going in the right direction and various girls are coming and taking advantage of the movement and the women that have not gone through anything are also coming and accusing innocent men. I feel bad for those women who have actually suffered sexual harassment and they won’t be heard out because of the girls who are lying''
