Here's what Ranbir Kapoor said about Kangana Ranaut's comment on his 'apolitical' views.

Kangana Ranaut recently took a dig at Ranbir Kapoor for not sharing his opinion on political matters and the latter Saturday said he has no interest in reacting to the "Queen" actor's claims.

Kangana had called out Alia Bhatt and Ranbir for maintaining silence on social and political issues. 

"Whatever anyone's asks me I do answer it. I don't have any interest in giving answers to these questions. People can say whatever they want. I know who I am and what I say," Ranbir told reporters here at an event.

Kangana had also said that both Ranbir and Alia are too old to be called young actors.

After Kangana Ranaut slammed Alia Bhatt for not speaking over contemporary issues, the actor said while she respects the 'Queen' star for voicing her opinions, she would like to keep her private. Kangana had called Alia's boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor apolitical and "irresponsible", thus lashing out at the duo for refusing to speak on politics.

Asked about Kangana's comments, Alia told the media, "I definitely don't have the ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does, and I really do respect her for that and maybe in a way she is right, sometimes we do hold back." 

"My dad also says that there are already so many opinions in the world that it can do with one less opinion. So, I have an opinion but I'll keep it to myself. But, kudos to her as she genuinely speaks really well," she added.

Alia was speaking at the fourth edition of 'Outlook Business Women of Worth' on Wednesday night. The actor recently turned producer and launched the banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Bollywood actress Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt's mother too has often faced the brunt of personal attacks made on her and her family by Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli. Recently reacting to the comments, the actress stated that remarks as such do 'hurt' her but she has now learnt to stop letting these things affect her. She further added that she stops feeling 'bad' after a point as she does not want to give the person, the 'power' to make her sad in the first place.
