WATCH: Salman Khan's Gesture For Promoting Friend Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' Is Heartwarming

Salman Khan had an interesting way to promote 'Zero' featuring his close friend Shah Rukh Khan. A teaser featuring the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star was released on Eid, earlier this year.

The trailer of ‘Zero’ was unveiled with fanfare on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2. The movie features the actor in the role of a vertically challenged man, amid his quest for love from the characters of Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The movie will surely throw light on other vertically challenged people and their struggles like Bauua Singh’s difficulty to find a girl for himself.

Some of them along with a lookalike of the actor, all dressed with the image of Shah Rukh’s character from ‘Zero’, interacted with the media on the dual occasion, the birthday and the trailer launch. And one of them made an interesting revelation. He delightedly claimed that Salman Khan stopped his car when he saw them recently and invited them over to his house. The actor then treated them to a meal and asked them to promote the movie. They have surely followed his advice as the press conference was a big promotional gesture from their side.

For the unversed, Salman himself has a cameo in the movie. A teaser featuring the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star was released on Eid, earlier this year. We see the ‘Karan Arjun’ stars dancing together, after which SRK is seen climbing on Salman’s shoulders and giving him a kiss on his cheek.

‘Zero’ trailer featured Shah Rukh in the role of a vertically challenged man, who falls in love with Anushka’s character, who is a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy. He also dreams to meet a popular star, played by Katrina Kaif and the story talks about the pains each of them go through in achieving happiness. The movie, helmed by ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ franchise and ‘Raanjhanaa’ fame Aanand L Rai hits the screens on 21 December. The film has been backed by SRK and Rai's respective production houses, Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions.
