The plot of the film traces the making and the unmaking of the former PM. Ever Since the first poster of the film released, Anupam Kher's striking resemblance to Manmohan Singh has become a talking point. Today, on October 26, BTS video of Anupam Kher and Suzanne Bernert who plays the character of the former president of the Indian National Congress, Sonia Gandhi, came out, the duo was on the sets as it was their last day of shoot.

What is astonishing is the distinct resemblance of Anupam Kher and Suzanne Bernert to Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi. Watch the video below:

The Accidental Prime Minister, based on the book of the same name by Sanjaya Baru, is a look at the UPA years of Indian politics. The book alleges that Dr. Singh was never fully in control of his cabinet and a significant amount of power was wielded by then Congress president Sonia Gandhi. He also alleges that Dr. Singh was completely subservient to her. Actor Ahana Kumra will be seen playing the role of Priyanka Gandhi and Arjun Mathur will be seen playing Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier a few snippets and videos of Anupam Kher were doing the rounds, and his mannerisms and postures were just like Manmohan Singh which is a sign of perfection. On Dr. Manmohan Singh's birthday last month, his reel version, Anupam Kher, took his social media handle to wish the former Prime Minister with a heartfelt message. He also mentioned how he wishes to have a cup of tea when he watches the film by sharing a video that makes the resemblance uncanny.
