Talking about the police action being taken after her Facebook post went viral, Sengupta said, "After it went viral, there were people from the law and the jurisdiction industry who told me that there is a zero FIR that can be lodged at any police station and for that, one does not need to go from one police station to another.  The matter first came to notice after Sengupta's Facebook post about the harrowing ordeal went viral. In her post, she also questioned how 15 boys were allowed to travel on bikes without a helmet and said that such incidents can happen to anybody.
