After Sonakshi Sinha and Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan now reacts to his recent mega release 'Kalank'. The actor released video where he spoke about the film's poor performance at the box-ofice.

He said: "Calling my 32nd birthday. But I am going to tell you how it all went down. I was a little down because my latest release did not go the way I thought it would and it did hit me a little hard, I will be very honest. I didn’t know how to react to it. Lot of people told me, “don’t show it.” I don’t know how to behave like that. Failures are a part of life. My friends though had my back. [They] told me “pack your bags.” I said, “Where are we going to go and do?” They said, “Muay Thai.” So the 1:25 flight on GoAir, we flew and the rest you can watch."

For those unaware, until last year, Varun Dhawan had no flops in his kitty and registered a 100% track record at the box-office.

With Rs 150 crores budget, the film failed to touch even Rs 100 crores at the box-office. The reports suggest that on Day 12, the film earned around Rs 77 crores and is no longer running in most of theatres because of Avengers Endgame.

Sonakshi Sinha too reacted to 'Kalank's' dismal box office performance as it fails to touch the Rs 100-crore mark.
"Every film is important to me. I hope, wish and pray every film does well. It is bad luck that the last couple of films did not work out. But I don't lose hope, I always look forward to do my best," Sonakshi told PTI.

"I pick up films very instinctively. The box office is not in my control, as an actor I have control over my performance and acting. I don't stress over what is not in my control. "Every film that I have done, irrespective of whether they have done well commercially or not, has taught me a lot. I will always cherish that experience," she said.

‘Kalank’ was directed by Abhishek Varman and revolves around a love story with conflicts in the pre-Independence era. Apart from Karan’s Dharma Productions, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios have backed the movie.
