The popularity of a movie nowadays is gauged from the response it generates on social media. For big films, memes, be it positive or negative, generally signifies that you like the trailer or dislike it, but you can’t ignore it. The story was the same, as memes flooded social media, for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ when the trailer was unveiled on the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday on November 2. The love from fans for the actor’s vertically challenged avatar has been there for all to see, with the trailer crossing 75 million views in the span of five days on YouTube.

But, a particular section of SRK’s fans went one step further than the memes, by brilliantly making a ‘Minions’ trailer of the movie. The makers brilliantly used the dialogues from the movie to show a Minion protagonist’s love for two female characters, just like Bauua’s love for Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif’s characters in the film.

Even SRK was impressed with the creativity and joked how they should have informed him beforehand so that they wouldn't have taken pains to make this movie at all. The superstar, however, called their effort ‘sweet’ and said that his little one AbRam will love the movie even more.

'Zero' has made headlines galore since the release of the trailer. Not just fans, even celebrities had taken to social media to express their appreciation for the love triangle. However, the film has also landed in trouble for an alleged portrayal of a 'Kirpan', which has led to two leaders from different political parties filing police complaints against the movie for 'hurting religious sentiments.' 'Zero' has been directed by Aanand L Rai and produced by the filmmaker along with Shah Rukh Khan. The movie is Shah Rukh Khan's first release after 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' that had hit the screens in August. 'Zero' releases on 21 December.
