'We Have Got Actors Who Are A Right Mix For The Prestigious Project': Makers Announce The Lead Cast Of PM Narendra Modi Biopic

The makers of the much-anticipated biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the names of actors who will be a part of the main cast for the film.

Starting from Manmohan Singh's 'The Accidental Prime Minister' to 'Thackeray,' and now 'PM Narendra Modi,' looks like 2019 is a year of interesting biopics. Recently, the makers of the much-anticipated biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the names of actors who will be a part of the main cast for the film.

As per media reports, besides Vivek Oberoi,  Darshan Kumaar and Boman Irani who were previously announced to be a part of the film, the lead cast of the film also includes  Zarina Wahab, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Akshat R Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar. 

Speaking about the cast, ANI quoted producer Sandip Ssingh as saying, "A solid star cast with talented actors is the base of effective cinematic experience. With 'PM Narendra Modi' we have got actors who are not just experienced but are also the right mix for a prestigious project like a biopic on Mr Narendra Modi. I am excited at the prospect of having such a talented cast and to work with them along with Omung."

Actor Vivek Oberoi will be essaying the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the biopic. The first look poster of 'PM Narendra Modi' was released on January 7, where the actor was featured as PM Modi. The first poster of the film was launched at an event in Mumbai by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in a grand event in the city. 

Later, Vivek Oberoi took to Twitter and released the first look poster of the film on Twitter. The actor captioned the post saying, "Jai Hind We humbly ask for your prayers and blessings on this incredible journey. #AkhandBharat #PMNarendraModi"

As per media reports, the biopic will follow the journey of PM Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India.

The film will be directed by Omung Kumar, who has previously helmed some critically acclaimed biopic films including 'Mary Kom' and ' Sarbjit'. It is going to be produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Singh under the banner of Legend Global Studio. 

Reportedly, the film will be shot across Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, among other locations in the country, over a period of a few months. The makers, along with Vivek, will be doing some recce in the coming weeks.
