'We Miss You': Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan And Others Remember Shashi Kapoor On His 81st Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of the 81st birth anniversary of late actor Shashi Kapoor on Monday, his nephew veteran actor Rishi Kapoor paid tribute to his uncle with a couple of social media posts.

On the occasion of the 81st birth anniversary of late actor Shashi Kapoor on Monday, nephew veteran actor Rishi Kapoor paid tribute to his uncle with a couple of social media posts. Rishi took to Twitter and shared a throwback picture with the legendary actor featuring him, wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor, niece Karisma Kapoor and veteran actress Rekha. He captioned the post saying, "Happy Birthday Sashi Uncle!"

 Again, in a consecutive post, he shared another throwback picture from 2015 when the 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram' actor was conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke award. Rishi Kapoor captioned the post saying, "What a proud moment for the Shashi Kapoor family! Dada Sahab Phalke award for him. Third Phalke Award in the family! Happy Birthday, uncle!"

However, not just Rishi Kapoor, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan also remembered his 'Deewar' co-star. As Manohar Parrikar, the CM of Goa passed away recently, he took to the Micro-blogging site and penned a note identifying the irony of life. In the post, he wrote, "The irony of man and life! On the one hand, the declaration of death, one side of the Jubilee. Manohar Parrikar.. Shashi Kapoor! 🙏🙏🇮🇳"

Meanwhile, veteran actress Shabana Azmi also remembered her 'Fakira' co-star on his birth anniversary. She took to Twitter and wrote, "Shashiji .. we miss you.. your warmth your generosity your humanity .. Today would have been your 81st birthday .."

Shashi Kapoor was one of the iconic actors of the Indian film industry. He was widely celebrated for his performance in films like 'Deewar', 'Jab Jab Phool Khile', 'Kalyug', 'Suhaag', to name a few. The Padma Bhushan awardee passed away on December 4, 2017, at the age of 79.
