In the iconic cameo, the Marvel legend crossed paths with the film's protagonist Peter Parker at New York's Times' Square and while having a crisp conversation tells him, "You know, I guess one person can make a difference". Mumbai Police captioned the post saying, "We believe so too, Stan! What a ‘marvel’lous life! What a ‘marvel’ of a life! Let’s keep Stan Lee’s legacy alive and continue aspiring to be superheroes in our common ways #BeASuperhero #StanLeeForever"

Marvel confirmed the news of Stan Lee's death on Tuesday on social media, and the news came as a shock to the Marvel fans. As per media reports, an ambulance was called to his Hollywood Hills home owing to a medical emergency and Lee was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday morning where he succumbed to death. Media reports state he had been battling pneumonia for some time and was hospitalized in February, this year.

Several celebrities across the world including Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Robert Downey Jr., Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, among others have mourned the demise of the Marvel legend. They took to social media to pay tribute to the 'Excelsior' and remembered how he had a huge contribution in shaping the childhood of many.

Stan Lee, who started his career as an assistant comic writer, served as the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics in the later years. He is one of the founders of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and following his retirement from Marvel, he remained a public figurehead for the company and frequently made cameo appearances in the movies, television shows, and video games based on Marvel characters.
