'What the Love': Netflix announces a dating show hosted by Karan Johar. Here's all you need to know

On Karan Johar's birthday today, Netflix India shared on its official Twitter handle a big news of their collaboration.

After entertaining us with 'Koffee With Karan', director-producer Karan Johar will now be seen hosting a dating show titled, 'What The Love? With Karan Johar', Netflix announced on Saturday.

On Karan Johar's birthday today, Netflix India shared on its official Twitter handle, and wrote, “Happy birthday to the creator of some of the most beautiful romances we've ever seen. Can't wait to write some more with you, @karanjohar. This is probably not how presents work but on the occasion of his birthday we’ve decided to gift ourselves a dating show hosted by @karanjohar. What The Love? With Karan Johar, coming to Netflix! @BBCStudiosIndia.”

Karan Johar replied to Netflix and wrote: "Where there's chemistry, there's always a way! Can't wait to join the Netflix India family and spread a whole lotta love! @BBCStudiosIndia #BBCStudiosIndia #BBCProduction"

Talking at World Economic Forum in Davos, Karan Johar in an interview spoke about the OTT platforms and said: "They are empowering the landscape. Netflix and Amazon Prime have a huge brand value already. They are building their audiences in india. But at the same time we have big domestic players now like hotstar, Zee5, Jio, and we have so many coming in creating global content and that's empowering writers, actors, directors. It's just that the floodgates of creativity have opened up and digital has helped open the floodgates of creativity even more," he said.
